The best authentic Thai food place, in North West London. Been going to this restaurant for years, and it was nice to be there again. One of the waiters was very welcoming and the service was very quick. The food was ready, and I took it home to eat. It was very good, with the flavours there. I really enjoyed it.
I got the satay skewers, the chilli beef noodles and the spicy chicken prawn dumplings. The dumplings were my favourite followed by the noodles, super good and quick service. The atmosphere is fine, it’s comfy and you’re looked after but it’s on the smaller side but they’re very nice and accommodating
Hey there!!!
I’m still eating while reviewing this place, it is that good!!!! Love it absolutely!!! The portions, the taste, the ambiance everything is amazing!!! I got myself chicken prawn pad thai and it slappppsss!!! You have chillies as well soya sauce on the table to customise!! I had fun with green chillies, as its doesn’t only gives a nice kick, but is quite addictive!!! Guess what, I might become regular, if I am around this place. Love the staff, everyone is so human and sane 🥺😭❤️❤️❤️
We’ve been coming to this restaurant for well over a decade. When we first discovered it, we lived nearby, so visiting was easy and became a regular part of our routine. Since then, we’ve moved to the other side of London, but that hasn’t stopped us making the journey whenever we can. That alone says a lot about how special this place is.
The food is consistently outstanding. The menu offers a wonderful balance of authenticity, freshness, and each visit reminds us why we keep coming back.
What really sets this place apart is its consistency. After more than ten years of dining here, the quality has remained exceptionally high, and every meal is as enjoyable as we remember. In a city with countless dining options, this is one of the very few places worth travelling across London for, and we look forward to returning for many years to come.
I have been eating at Spicy Basil eat in and delivery for many years. The quality of food and service has steadily declined over the years. Last night I decided to make an order for delivery (£3 charger) last minute. I placed the order by telephone for spring rolls, chicken and egg noodles, king prawn green curry and a portion of white rice. The total was £38 which I thought steep but hey. On arrival there was no king prawn green curry and a king prawn pad Thai was sent instead. I called to complain and the guy on the phone was very rude but reluctantly agreed to send the correct item and take the pad Thai back. When the driver arrived I was shocked at what was sent. The curry was sent in a small container with rice which was not what I ordered. The curry was leaking in the bag and rice and not worth the amount I had paid. I was told I needed to specify no rice. The man on the phone was very rude and eventually hung up on me. Safe to say, my instincts are correct and the service and quality is not what it used to be. Very disappointing and will not step foot or order from Spicy Basil again. 👋👋
